Since the time she could pour lemon concentrate into a pitcher, Emily Arbour has had an unquenchable entrepreneurial spirit. Twenty years after opening her first roadside lemonade stand, Emily opened up her very own retail gift shop in the rural Eastern Ontario town of Almonte. Now in her mid-thirties, Arbour is a shop owner, craft show organizer and mother of two who has never strayed from her enterprising roots or her love of slow goods. In late 2013, after having great difficulty sourcing a Canadian made, well-priced, well-branded candle to sell in her shop, Emily took it upon herself to create a line of her own. With a little research, a great deal of trial and error, and the help of a talented illustrator/friend, Campy Candles were born.
